Woman Arraigned Over N200,000 Theft
A 50-year-old woman, Mojisola Ololade, was on Monday arraigned before Magistrate Mary Awodele of an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court in Osun over alleged 200,000 theft.
Ololade is facing a two-count charge bordering on theft.
The prosecutor, Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun, explained to the court the accused committed the offences sometime in January 2013 in Osogbo.
Abiodun told the court that the accused also stole N200,000 from one Samuel Oluponde with the intent to complete a business transaction.
He said the offences contravened Sections 390(9) and 419 of the Criminal Laws of Osun, 2003.
The accused, Mojisola Ololade pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against her.
The counsel to the accused, Mr Ehierene Ngoke , prayed the magistrate to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.
The case was adjourned until Aug.14 for hearing.
