An emerging video of Pastor Tunde Bakare addressing his congregation in church, might as well be the cogent reason why President Muhammdu Buhari chose to honor late philanthropist – MKO Abiola.
It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari recently conferred the honor of Grande Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) on Abiola, stating that the late politician who won the controversial June 12 election, is a hero of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
While speaking to members of the Latter Day Saints church a few Sundays ago, Pastor Bakare said that government is a continuum, and as such, whatever a previous government has done, the repercussions will continue to be felt by the succeeding government, stressing that except the source of our issues is located, Nigeria would keep on transferring problems from government to government with no solutions.
Bakare further noted that Nigeria is still facing serious challenges because justice has not been served, this he said in reference to the death of MKO Abiola.
The highly respected clergyman said: “The democracy you are enjoying today, Abiola paid for it, which is life, and only a section of the nation has honored him. Bakare further stressed that there has been no honor given to Abiola whom he claims he warned not to run for office.
Bakare said that Nigeria will continue to feel the plague of injustice until Abiola is given the honor that is due him, and until this nation begins to operate fully on justice and fairness.
Below is the video of Pastor Bakare making the declaration which some believe is the reason President Muhammadu Buhari was provoked to honor the late MKO abiola.
So what do you think? Could Buhari’s good gesture towards Abiola be provoked by this Egba illustrious son – Pastor Tunde Bakare’s message a few days ago?
