Premier League: Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal (Watch All Goals)
Mohamed Salah scored twice as Liverpool maintained their 100 per cent Premier League record by beating Arsenal 3-1 at Anfield.
Joel Matip’s header late in the first half gave the home side the lead before Mohamed Salah took the game away from the Gunners with two goals early in the second period.
Salah converted a penalty in the 49th minute after drawing a foul from David Luiz in the box.
The Egyptian then embarrassed Luiz again out on the touchline at the start of a dazzling run that ended with a low, curling finish into the bottom corner just before the hour.
Although Lucas Torreira recorded an 85th-minute reply, Liverpool’s victory means they have won 12 consecutive Premier League matches, breaking the club’s record in the competition, while they are now up to 42 home league games without defeat.
