Nigeria’s U23 side will fly out to Manaus, Brazil tonight ahead of their participation in the Olympics, minister of sport  Barrister Solomon Dalung confirmed.

Barrister Dalung stated clearance has been recieved from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Samson Siasia’s side are expected to leave their Atlanta base around 5.30p.m. (Nigerian time) for the seven-hour flight to the Eduardo Gomes International Airport in Manaus aboard a charterred Private Jet Services jet arranged by the Sports Ministry.

Nigeria begin their quest for gold with a Group B fixture against Japan on Friday at 2.00a.m Nigerian time.
