Nollywood Star, Seun Egbegbe to Appear in Court Today After Spending 20 Months in Prison
Toyin Aimakhu’s ex, Seun Egbegbe will be appearing in court today Monday, November 5, 2018, after spending 20 months in jail following theft allegations.
Egbegbe’ imprisonment comes on the back of his failure to meet the N5m bail granted him by the Federal High Court in Lagos.
He has been in prison since February, 10, 2017, after he was arraigned by the police for alleged serial frauds involving N39, 098,100, $90,000 and £12,550.
The prosecuting counsel for the police, Innocent Anyigor, said Egbegbe and the other defendants acted contrary to Section 8 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act 2006 and were liable to be punished under Section 1(3) of the same Act.
However, they pleaded not guilty to the allegation. Anyigor, had told the court that he had no fewer than 40 witnesses, icluding BDC operators, who testify in the court case.
Seun Egbegbe a filmmaker, was in a relationship with Toyin Aimakhu a few years ago. The relationship, however, ended in a controversial manner.
