Some Nigerian women who begged for help after being stranded in Lebanon have returned home.

In a video which went viral on social media three weeks ago, the women narrated their plight, expressing the desire to be repatriated immediately.

On Sunday, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) announced that a total of 68 Nigerian women stranded in Lebanon were brought back home aboard a Middle East Airline plane, which touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 3:30pm.
