MC Oluomo: Nigerians React to NURTW Boss Invitation To Speak At A UNILAG Event
Social media was recently set on a frenzy after a poster image of a University of Lagos (UNILAG) event surfaced, and had Lagos state chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Adesanya aka MC Oluomo, as one of the special guests of the day.
A twitter user expressed his disappointment and shock saying: “How can a National Thug be allowed to talk in UNILAG and Sowore wasn’t welcome”.
This would not be the first time Oluomo will be in the spotlight. In June, MC Oluomo, his wife and son Ololade received an honorary invitation by the executive governor of Georgia USA, Brain Kemp and his wife, Marty Kemp as a result of his son’s academic excellence.

I just read somewhere that MC Oluomo will be giving a lecture in UNILAG.
Is this true?
I am sincerely hoping his topic will be centred around Thuggery & HR MGt. Anything outside this will be really outside his topic of competence. pic.twitter.com/4tnElmg6Qn

MC Oluomo invited as a special guest to give a speech in #Unilag, meanwhile Sowore was stopped from attending various events he was invited to for reasons best known to the school authorities. Imagine MC Oluomo giving a speech to #Unilag students We are mad in this country pic.twitter.com/wE5CfItf5C

Y’all don’t even know the reason why MC Oluomo is invited to Unilag to speak, the program is on transportation and he can give an insight about Lagos state transportation systems.
But your ignorant self and clout you’re chasing won’t let you make findings.

MC Oluomo has no business in this kinda gathering.
Unilag just proved to us that education is a waste of time.
Nigeria education is totally messed up. pic.twitter.com/bRiZM0YQAe

Saw MC Oluomo trending, checked and I’ve been laughing my ass off since.
See ehn, maybe I have lost every fight in me, but I have come to terms with the fact that everything is possible in Nigeria now.

MC Oluomo invited as “special guest” in a university program? pic.twitter.com/WEGpbW2Thg

All I have to say about this whole MC Oluomo brouhaha is that the only thing Nigerians respect is money and power. If you like be honest, educated, hardworking, law-abiding and whatnot, a UNILAG will still pick a wealthy uneducated NURTW Boss over you.

So MC Oluomo is a “Special Guest” at a university event.
As @EuginhoCortez likes to say, we will surely reap the outcomes we are currently sowing.
What this clearly tells kids is that thuggery and anti-intellectualism are to be rewarded with high status in Nigeria.
Well done✊🏿 https://t.co/hErTK8me85

MC Oluomo to appear as a special guest in University of Lagos (UNLAG).
If you see nothing wrong, can you give me (1) reason?
You see something wrong, kindly give one reason.
