Just In: Federal Executive Council Approves 2019 Budget
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the proposed 2019 budget for onward presentation to the national by President Muhammadu Buhari.
This was disclosed by Udoma Udo-Udoma, Minister of Budget and National Planning while briefing State House Correspondents at the end of a special FEC meeting in Abuja.
Udo-Udoma stated that the next stage was to liaise with the National Assembly to pick a date for the presentation of the estimates by Buhari.
The Federal Government is proposing N8.6trillion as the budget for next year.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has rejected the amended electoral bill.
According to Ita Enang has revealed that the president has communicated his decision to the national assembly.
However, Enang, Senior Special assistant to the president on National Assembly, disclosed that President Buhari has assented to the National University Commission Amendment Act.
In September, Buhari turned down the bill for the second time, asking the national assembly to revise some clauses.
