‘It’s Purely Politics,’ Buhari’s Aide Defends Dogara’s Return to APC From PDP
Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari has defended the defection of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara to the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC).
Dogara, who represents Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency in Bauchi State, alongside former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, and some governors had left the APC for the PDP ahead of the 2019 general election.
Ahmad, in a tweet on Friday, July 34, 2020, said Dogara’s decision to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC is purely politics, saying the former Speaker didn’t break any rule.
He tweeted, “That’s purely politics, no rule is broken here, Obaseki left and Dogara is back. That’s the law of this game, when you leave, another will come and fill the space. And it will continue to be like that till the end of the game. The best, don’t stress yourself over it. Be moderate!”
