ICYMI: Brighton 2-1 Arsenal (Maupay And Dunk Stun Gunners)
Neal Maupay piled the misery on Arsenal with a last-gasp goal to give Brighton a 2-1 win over the Gunners, who had earlier seen goalkeeper Bernd Leno stretchered off.
Maupay showed coolness and class to slot in his ninth and most important goal of the season, give Albion their first league win of 2020 and cap a remarkable comeback.
Arsenal hit the front through a sumptuous Nicolas Pepe strike in the 68th minute but lackadaisical defending from a short corner worked by Solly March and Yves Bissouma allowed Lewis Dunk to equalise seven minutes later.
In the fifth minute of added-time, Maupay ended a controversial afternoon with the winning goal, running onto Aaron Connolly’s one-two before lifting the ball over replacement goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
There is no such negativity for Brighton, though. They appeared to come through the game largely unscathed and are now five points above the bottom three.
