Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, governor-elect of Kwara state, on Tuesday, May 14, said he never falsified his West African Examination Council (WAEC) certification which he presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Abdulrazaq’s counsel, Mr Lawal Jimoh while making the defence at a Kwara state High Court sitting in Ilorin added that the governor-elect graduated from Government College, Kaduna in June 1976.

According to the Nation, the governor-elect counsel while speaking on the allegations leveled against him by one Abraham Adekunle in court said:“We were served on May 3rd this year and we have one month to file our defence.” Stressing that the governor-elect and his team were fully ready for the case, he added:
“The governor-elect did not present fake WAEC result to INEC to contest the 2019 governorship election. He attended Government College, Kaduna and of course, he wrote his WAEC 1976. The records are there. They are clear. I am very sure.”
