OFFICIAL: Gomis leaves Swansea for Marseille On A Season Long Loan Deal
Swansea City have confirmed the departure of striker Bafetimbi Gomis to Marseille on a season-long loan.
The 30-year-old was left out of the Swans’ squad for their pre-season tour of America
Gomis made 18 starts and 15 substitute league appearances last season for Swansea, scoring six goals.
Gomis signed for Swansea City after leaving Lyon at the end of the 2013-14 Ligue 1 season on a free transfer.
He made his competitive debut for Swansea in the opening match of the season on 16 August 2014, replacing Wilfred Bony for the last 13 minutes of an eventual 2–1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford
The former France international graduated from the Saint-Etienne academy and went on to make 159 appearances.
