Frank Ocean: Musician’s 18 Year Old Brother Reportedly Dies in Car Accident
According to reports, Ryan Breaux, the younger brother of Frank Ocean, died on Sunday morning in a car crash.
ABC 7 reports that two men were killed in a single-vehicle collision around 1.30am on August 2.
The teenager was involved in a car accident that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning on Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks, California, killing both Ryan and a friend.
ABC 7 reports that authorities were continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. The victims have not been officially named by the coroner, reports CBS Los Angeles.
The investigation is still ongoing, but the car appears to have left the road and struck a tree in the center median.
The force of the collision tore the car in half, and sheriff’s deputies say that it was engulfed in flames when they came upon it.
Breaux, as well as another occupant who was in the car, was pronounced dead by the local fire department.
Frank Ocean – who was born Christopher Edwin Breaux – and his brother had a close relationship. Ocean penned his 2011 song ‘Orion’ for his younger brother, encouraging him to cherish life and not waste his youth.
