Nico Rosberg took victory in the Belgian Grand Prix, but Lewis Hamilton took the plaudits after producing a sensational drive to claim third spot at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
Nico Rosberg won the race from pole position punctuated by a violent crash for Renault’s Kevin Magnussen reduces his points deficit to Hamilton to nine.
Magnussen was taken to hospital with an injury to his left ankle after a huge crash at 180mph at Raidillon.
Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo was second holding off a late Hamilton charge.
Lewis Hamilton recovered from the back row of the grid to finish third.
Rosberg’s 25 points mean he moves nine off Hamilton atop the Drivers’ standings, while Ricciardo is now 23 points clear in third of fourth place Vettel.
