Facebook Shuts Down 583 Million Facebook Accounts
Facebook yesterday said it has shutdown 583 million fake accounts in the first three months of 2018. It said those closures came from blocking millions of fake accounts created every day.
Despite this move, the group said fake profiles still make up 3-4 percent of all active accounts.
Facebook pulled up warnings on nearly 30 million posts containing sexual or violent images, terrorist propaganda, graphic violence or hate speech during the first quarter using artificial intelligence technology.
