The Belgium international showed of his skills to the screaming Real fans and then pledged to help restore the club to former glories following a trophyless season at home and in Europe.
Later in a news conference, he said: “I’m going to try to become the best player in the world, but first I wanted to be in the best team in the world.
“I’m not a Galactico, but I’ll try to be, for now I’m Eden Hazard.”
“It’s true Real Madrid [has] won a lot of titles and [that] the last year hasn’t been so good. That happens in football.
“I hope to start a new cycle with the players who have won so much, that’s what I’m here for.”
