Eden Hazard: Chelsea to Accept £130m From Real Madrid
Chelsea want £130m for Eden Hazard.
Hazard has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu for several seasons now and, despite having been asked about the move directly at various points of the campaign, he refused to knock it down.
Real Madrid value the Belgium international at no more than €100m (£88m) due to the fact that he is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
This deal would make Hazard the most expensive signing in Madrid history, surpassing the then world-record £86m they paid for Gareth Bale in 2013.
Hazard, who turned 28 in January, signed for Chelsea from French side Lille in 2012 for £32m and has since scored 108 goals in 351 appearances.
Chelsea face Arsenal in the Europa League final on Wednesday and Hazard had previously said he would comment on his future after the clash in Baku.
Jose Mourinho, who managed Hazard from 2013 to 2015, expects the forward to be playing his football at the Bernabeu next season.
‘It looks like it is the last match in blue for Eden Hazard, the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager told Sky Sports.
‘He is a player that was crucial for Chelsea’s success in this last generation and Eden also will try to be what he is the majority of the time – a fantastic player on the pitch.
‘He will want to win and possibly go to Real Madrid with a last trophy for Chelsea.’
