Former heavyweight world titlist Deontay Wilder on Monday revealed that he will “definitely” exercise his right to an immediate third fight with Tyson Fury.

The previously undefeated American entered the ring in Las Vegas wearing a 40-pound outfit designed to celebrate Black History Month.

Britain’s Fury, 31, produced a dominant display to win the title in Las Vegas on Saturday when Wilder’s corner threw in the towel in the seventh round.

“We’re definitely going to exercise it,” said Wilder, who fought to a disputed draw with Fury 14 months ago. “We’re looking forward to it. I’m a warrior and a true champion, and I fight like that every bit of the way. We’re definitely going on with it. That’s for sure. By the summertime.”

Wilder was knocked down by a right hand from Fury in the third round and again by a body shot in the fifth.

Fury was carried to the ring on a throne, while also wearing a crown.

“I didn’t have no legs from the beginning of the fight – in the third round, my legs were just shot all the way through,” added Wilder.

“I was only able to put it on [for the first time] the night before but I didn’t think it was going to be that heavy.

“I wanted it to be good and I guess I put that before anything.”
