Chelsea Agrees Deal With Juventus Over Maurizio Sarri
Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle for their manager Maurizio Sarri to join Serie A champions Juventus.
No official confirmation has yet been received from Chelsea but Sarri is expected to sign a three-year deal to become the new boss of the Serie A champions on Friday.
Derby manager and Blues legend Frank Lampard is the favourite to succeed Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri arrived from Napoli in July 2018 and led the Blues to third place in the Premier League and won the Europa League in his one season in charge.
But the former Napoli boss was an unpopular figure among many Blues supporters because of his style of play.
Despite signing a three-year deal last July, he will become the ninth full-time manager to leave the club under Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Whoever does replace Sarri will not be able to sign any new players, as things stand, with Chelsea having appealed against their two-window transfer ban imposed by FIFA to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
