Real Madrid are the only side to ever successfully defend the Champions League and will be going all out to make it three in a row this season.

With Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane job on the line,  the reigning Spanish and European champions are fourth in La Liga – 17 points behind leaders Barcelona and are already out of the Copa del Rey in the hands of lowly Leganes last month.

So the champions league is the only chance of silverware for the reigning champion this season while the future of their manager resting on the outcome.

Despite this, a relaxed Zidane played down speculation over his future, saying: “I am only thinking about the match.

“I can only control what happens on the field and prepare for that. That is what is important. My future does not matter much.”

And there’s also Yacine Brahimi, a lively winger who has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League.
