A young woman has been caught dragging a dead body into a dump in the middle of the night.
The woman named Kelly Ann Almond was caught on CCTV piling a body onto a mobility scooter before dumping it in the park.
According to The Sun, the footage shows the woman struggling with a corpse in the dead of night in Peterborough.
The full case is due to be shown tonight on Channel 4’s 24 hours in Police Custody.
In the shocking CCTV footage, Ann can be seen dragging the scooter out with the body, then pushing the corpse into the well of the scooter and riding off.
DCI Waite says: “If he’s OD’d and he’s still alive, surely she just phones an ambulance. Either that or you’ve murdered him and you want to dispose of the body.”
Ann denied killing the fellow whose name is Stuart Wilkinson, she said “Staurt was already dead” and confesses to taking him to the park to be found the next morning.
The suspect stressed that she was worried that she would be in trouble and lose her council flat, she decided to borrow a pal’s mobility scooter and dragged the body out.
She was charged with disposing of a corpse in a manner likely to obstruct a coroner by removing Stuart from her home address to a local park.
She was also charged with intent to pervert the course of justice by moving the body failing to report the death.
A final post-mortem confirmed that Stuart died as a result of pneumonia exacerbated by his drug use. There was no sign of foul play.
Ann was found guilty of obstructing a coroner, by disposing of a corpse. She was sentenced to two years in prison and completed a drugs rehabilitation course while in prison.
