Alan Shearer Congratulates Salah On Premier League Scoring Record

Alan Shearer has congratulated Mohamed Salah for overtaking his English Premier League scoring record.

Shearer scored more than 30 goals for three consecutive seasons for Blackburn Rovers from 1993-1996 and knows how hard it will be for Salah to repeat the feat.

Going into the clash against the Seagulls, the former AS Roma man sat level with Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez on the top-flight roll of honour.

And the Egyptian breezed past them with his 26th-minute strike.

And the PL’s all-time top scorer says the shear variety of Salah’s goals will make 2017/18 a memorable one.

“When you’re looking to one of your players to do something different, do something special, more often than not it’s been Mo Salah,” he says.

“This season people will remember Salah and the impact that he had in his first season at Liverpool. No one has been able to stop him.”

Liverpool finished the season in fourth place with 70 points from 38 games and will feature in next season’s Champions League.
