Adrien Rabiot: Juventus Completes Signing of PSG Midfielder
Italian champions, Juventus have completed the signing of Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain after running down his contract at the French club.
Rabiot is the second midfielder to arrive on a free transfer this summer, with Aaron Ramsey’s deal — one that was announced back in early February — also becoming official on Monday.
The midfielder who was placed in exile in Paris after refusing to commit to a new deal said on Tuesday: ‘The last few months have been complicated both from a sporting and personal level, but today I am ready to leave everything behind and begin a new adventure.’
“I had the chance of playing with two other great players [Kylian Mbappe and Neymar],” Rabiot said at his unveiling.
“Cristiano had weight on my decision, but I know that Juve’s squad is full of great players and the spirit here is positive.”
Despite it being early days for him in Italy, Rabiot has no doubt that his new club is a step above PSG.
“Juventus are a great club,” Rabiot said. “They’re very prestigious and have a great European history and tradition.
“As I see it, they’re a step ahead of PSG.”
