Bournemouth have asked about the possibility of taking Chelsea captain John Terry on loan until the end of the season, according to reports.
The 36-year-old has played just five Premier League games under Antonio Conte this season, and Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is looking to capitalise on his lack of gametime by bringing him to Dean Court for the rest of the season.
Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta appearing to be Conte’s preferred starting defenders.
Howe has seen on-loan Nathan Ake go the other way this week, with the full-back being recalled by Chelsea.
The Bournemouth manager wants to strengthen his backline, and sees Terry as the experienced player he needs to add stability.
Terry has spent his entire career at Chelsea apart from a loan spell with Nottingham Forest in 2000 when he was 19.
